                Episode 504: Brazil Nut
                Exotic Coolers
                Refreshing Drinks...
While strolling down any street in Brazil, you will inevitably come upon a juice bar, which will offer traditional Brazilian juice drinks, called "Batidas". All of the following recipes involve a sugar cane liquor called "Cachaca", which tastes a bit like rum, and has the same colouration:

                Passion Fruit Batida (far left):

Bring the passion back into your life with this sweet, colourful fruit drink!

                Ingredients:
                • crushed ice
                • 2 oz. Cachaca
                • 1 oz. passion fruit juice

                Method:

Pour Cachaca over a generous helping of crushed ice, then add the passion fruit juice. Serve in tiny glasses.

                Peanut Batida (second from left):

Feeling a little nutty? The next couple of recipes should satisfy that craving:

                Ingredients:

                • crushed ice
                • 2 oz. Cachaca
                • 1 oz. cashew juice
                • granulated sugar

                Method:

Pour Cachaca onto crushed ice, then top off with cashew juice. Add sugar to taste.

Cashew Juice Batida (second from right):

                Ingredients:

                • crushed ice
                • 2 oz. Cachaca
                • 1 oz. cashew juice
                • granulated sugar

                Method:

Add crushed ice, peanuts, condensed milk, and Cachaca to a blender. Put the lid on, and blend. Transfer to a sling glass. Garnish with a straw and a piece of lime.

                Corn Batida (far right):

Now it's time for a corny idea:

                Ingredients:

                • crushed ice
                • 2 oz. condensed milk
                • 4 oz. Cachaca
                • 1 can corn

                Method:

Add ice, condensed milk, Cachaca, and corn to blender. Put the lid on, and blend. Transfer into a sling glass. Garnish with a straw, and a piece of lime.

Try these cool coolers for your next party!
